I am always talking about how shopping in Korea is a little bit tough for me because I have very different proportions to Korean women... (or I am just a beast...)
... and I think Korean clothes sometimes look quite different when worn by Korean girls and foreign girls...
This is most evident when my Korean homestay sister SJ tries on my clothes...
...my wardrobe is always on rotation...
...as the seasons in Korea change so rapidly and wearing something weather-appropriate is always difficult...
So...
...a couple of months ago when I was sewing a ball dress for the British Ball...
...I asked SJ to try it on (as I don't have a sewing mannequin at home)...
SJ is 19 years old and 158cm tall and from Korea.
Luigina is 28 years old and 170cm (169.5?)tall and from Australia.
...I have also noticed previously that when Korean girls borrow my clothes they seem to move differently in them to how I normally would move in them...
...for example...;
...SJ seems to move her head towards the camera and lean over one hip...
...whereas I always keep my head down and shoulders straight...
...having a younger Korean sister to sew clothes onto as a human mannequin is always fun and very useful...
...but I also feel like I am out-of-touch with youth-culture because I can never fully understand what she is wearing or what apps she is playing with on her phone...
