Seoul is known an international technology-hub, but there are certainly many other areas that Korea is becoming renowned for...
...one of the most competitive industries in Korea right now is cosmetics...
I must admit that I go a little bit nuts with buying products in Korea...
...because the price range is extremely varied compared to Australia...
...and the product packaging and styling is also too enticing...
...and the types of products are really abstract at times...
...for example, just this month I have started using
SQUID INK on my HAIR... ;
I don't know how they extract ink from the squids... (I am sure that the method would absolutely violate the rights of the squid...)
...but I was attracted to this because...
... I would have never previously imagined applying any squid-parts to my head...
(Korea also has a lot of snail-extract facial products... which I also feel are quite exotic...*slightly scared...of snails on my face*)
I also really like this product ... olive cleansing tissues...;
...which are helpful to remove make-up effortlessly after your Korean boss makes you drink too much at your company dinner and you get home at 2.30am...
My Japanese friends are really obssessed with Korean face mask sheets...
...which look like creepy Halloween masks when you stick them on...
...see here;
I'm sorry... I know that is beyond creepy....
...but I had to give you an idea of how Koreans stick these sheets on their faces...
...I had never seen this kind of face mask before I moved to Korea...
...I also like these face masks from TONYMOLY... they are disguised as fruits and tomatoes... ;
