XiaXue.

While doing some online research I stumbled across one of the most startling blogs I have seen in some time...

This blog is based on the life of a Singaporean girl...

... named 'Xiaxue'... (this means 'snow' 눈 in Chinese...apparently...)

I was quite curious at first glance...

...because the images are so colorful and perfect that I had a feeling that a lot of photoshopping was going on...

...this girl looks exactly like an Anime character...

Upon further research...

...it has been revealed that XiaXue is the most powerful blogger in Singapore...

...which is interesting...

...as I have never seen any pink-Anime-like Singaporeans before...she must really stand out...

This blog differs heavily from traditional Korean-Naver-style blogs in numerous ways...

Firstly...

...Korean girls are (generally) very very particular about presenting a very very wholesome image, as Koreans are very nervous about presenting anything that could be construed as mildly sexual...

...XiaXue clearly doesn't have these kinds of restrictions/stress in Singapore...

Secondly,

...while on the surface this blog looks overwhelmingly pink and purple and cute...the content is quite political at times...

...and I find XiaXue to be rather witty...(generally blogs by Korean girls steer completely clear of politics and social critiques)

She attacks everything from the Kony Campaign, to Adele...to...well...everybody...

Check out her Adele-backlash here:

...she's quite a talented writer...even though she may  heavily offend readers at times...

Thirdly,

She is very very comfortable using dirty language and swear words...she doesn't hold back...

...she doesn't mind being controversial... (particularly in regards to blogging about sexuality...)

Her article on orgasms:

Her article on measuring male anatomy:

While I might not agree with some of the social critiques that XiaXue presents on her blog...I think her blog is highly entertaining and thoughtful...

Her comment regarding the awkward KONY campaign;

'I refuse to spread awareness about him...I'd rather spread my legs for a diseased clown'

I don't think I will ever hear a Korean girl using this kind of language in my lifetime...

...so I find XiaXue to be very forward and amusing...
